Private Residence No. 8
Cabinetry was used to define the spaces, especially between the kitchen and dining area. Here, half-walls were constructed to anchor the cabinets and light shelf and to create a partial screen between the dining area and kitchen. The cabinet between the kitchen and dining area can be used as a buffet with cabinets that can be accessed from either side.

To save money, all cabinets were constructed of Baltic Birch and plastic laminate (inexpensive materials), stained to complement the existing parquet floor, and placed on stainless steel legs so it would look more like furniture pieces and not built-in elements.
