The owners wanted a place where they could enjoy different activities during their day — from reading the newspaper in the morning to checking email on their laptop to entertaining friends while cooking dinner.
To meet these needs, we included elements that serve many purposes. The peninsula can be used as a breakfast table, a serving area or a wine bar. The workstation can double as a sideboard.

To successfully integrate a contemporary kitchen into a “Queen Anne” style home, we relied on similar materials found in homes from this period — including stained glass. Here, stained glass pendant lights hang above the bar.
