Private Residence 1
Though the owners liked many of the traditional architectural elements of their “Queen Anne” style house, they wanted their “kitchen” to be many things — a place for cooking, a dining area, an information “hub” and an entertaining space.
Our design was functional, contemporary, comfortable, and encouraged different interactions.

To make the back wall a focal point for the room, we oriented some of the handmade aluminum tiles at a 90-degree angle creating a subtle checkerboard pattern. Recycled aluminum is also included in the solid surface countertop.
