Peter Margittai was quoted in a recent New York Times article entitled “Room to Improve”, about alternatives to granite countertops.  The article, which appeared in the House & Home section, presented architects’ suggestions for unique materials.

Mr. Margittai suggested Alkemi, a surface material made from recycled aluminum in resin that he has recommended for several residential projects.  

“I’m always keeping my eye out for new and interesting materials” Mr. Margittai said. "This one has a lot of character."
